Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)

are actually safe to use, it can be seen in aerosol sprays, refrigerators and air conditioners but it is not safe for the environment.

Ozone layer is made of ozone formula called

When CFCs get into the atmosphere, its molecule separates the 3 atoms of oxygen and sticks to the oxygen. As a result the ozone molecule is destroyed; more carbon dioxide gets trapped leading to global warming.

The Montreal protocol

is the first protocol that all countries agreed upon, it bans the use of CFCs across all nations. The government expects that by the 2050, the ozone layer will recover due to the banning of CFCs

CLIMATE CHANGE

climate scientist have predicted that an average increase of 2 degrees will be experienced in 2050. This will have drastic change in the weather condition across the globe. Ex: 2012 “Pablo”, 2013 “Yolanda”

Fossil Fuel

is actually sustainable; it is one of the primary contributors of greenhouse gases once they are burned.

Nuclear power plant

are plants that have nuclear reactors. They are acting as a source of energy, it is capable of creating large amount of energy with very little resources but it is very hazardous if not managed properly.

Chernobyl, Ukraine

became highly radioactive due to a nuclear leak in one of the nuclear reactors. This is because of human errors and technical lapses, thousands of people were exposes to carbon radiation

Hiroshima Nagasaki

it happened in World War II in August 6, 1945. was purposely bombed, it is known that it caused an estimated of 140,000 deaths by the end of 1945

f*ckushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant –

Due to the Great East Japan earthquake, the nuclear power plant experienced a meltdown.

Great Pacific Garbage Patch Northern Pacific Ocean,

it is an island that is made up of plastics that bonded together and formed an island. It is known to contain that highest decomposed plastic on earth, killed thousands of marine animals and known to enter our food chain

Algal Bloom or Eutrophication

decreases the oxygen in the water and marine animals die due to low levels of oxygen due to high concentration of nitrogen and properous that increases the algae in water

PETROLEUM-BASED FERTILIZER

it has high content of nitrogen of prosperous which is god for the plants but not for the soil.

a result of land alteration, deforestation and other agriculture practices
