Lori Vallow’s husband, Chad Daybell, is on trial in Idaho for the 2019 murders of his wife’s two children, 7-year-old JJ Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, as well as his ex-wife, Tammy Daybell.

Daybell and Vallow were originally scheduled to be tried together, but Daybell’s legal team filed a motion to have the cases tried separately in 2022, citing “mutually adversarial defenses,” Fox News Digital previously reported.

“Our view of the facts in this case will be significantly different than what Mr. Vallow and his legal counsel are seeking to present,” Daybell’s lawyer, John Pryor, said during a Nov. 10, 2022 court hearing, according to Fox News Digital.

As of this writing, Daybell’s trial is ongoing. The trial will be broadcast live on Fox Nation.

2. Lori Vallow

After their children went missing and Tammy died, Vallow and Daybell flew to Hawaii to get married.

Since being indicted, Vallow has been extradited to Arizona, where she faces two counts of conspiring to murder her ex-husband, Charles Vallow, and her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Beaudreau, according to CBS.

Her trial is scheduled to begin on August 1st.

3. Sarah Boone

Sarah Boone’s trial has yet to begin, almost four years after the charges were laid.

Boone, a Central Florida woman, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres Jr., who was found dead after being stuffed into a suitcase.

Boone said his death was the result of a game of hide-and-seek gone wrong: She told investigators she was drinking wine and playing a child’s game in February 2020 when he was locked in a suitcase and left there for hours.

Authorities said a video was found on her phone of the man saying he couldn’t breathe and yelling to be let out of the suitcase.

Suffocated in a suitcase: Death of Jorge Torres Jr.

Boone was arrested by Orange County police on February 25, 2020, after detectives said they found Torres Jr. inside the suitcase, NewsNation reported.

According to sources, Boone, who called 911 after discovering her boyfriend inside the suitcase, admitted that she had zipped it up before going to sleep. She told investigators that she thought her boyfriend would be able to get out of the zipped suitcase on his own.

The trial has been postponed multiple times, mainly because Boone’s lawyers have pulled out of the case, citing irreconcilable differences, according to NewsNation.

The trial was scheduled to begin in April 2023 but has been postponed to July 2024.

The delay has postponed the trial until early 2024. At the time of writing, the trial has yet to begin. The judge has scheduled another hearing for June 7, Court TV reported.

4. Richard Allen

Richard Allen is the suspect in the 2017 murders of 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams on a hiking trail in Delphi, Indiana.

“Richard Allen has been his own worst enemy throughout this process. We have learned from multiple documents that he made incriminating or damaging statements about this case to approximately 30 people, including prisoners, prison guards, police officers and family members,” the release said. [crime]and I think that’s going to seriously hinder him at trial,” journalist Aine Cain, co-host of “The Murder Sheet” podcast with Indiana-based attorney Kevin Greenlee, previously told Fox News Digital about the suspect in the case.

This trial has also been delayed for years.

Allen was first arrested in 2022, five years after the disappearance of the two girls, who went missing along the Monon High Bridge Trail on Feb. 13, 2017, and were found dead the following morning, according to a report by Fox News Digital.

Allen was taken in for questioning several months after his discovery, but was never arrested.

Prosecutors said Allen was linked to the crime because unused bullets found at the scene were “loaded” into a handgun owned by Allen, according to Fox News Digital.

He pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder when he was arrested in 2022, according to Fox News Digital.

The delay comes after Allen’s lawyers temporarily withdrew from the case when the leak occurred last fall, slowing the proceedings.

At the time of writing, the trial is scheduled for October 2024.

5. Brian Koberger

Brian Koberger’s trial likely won’t begin until 2025, but details about his case are emerging through several hearings.

Koberger is a suspect in the November 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students who were killed in a rental home near the university’s campus.

Koberger allegedly entered the home and killed Madison Mogen, Kaylee Gonsalves, Zana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin.

According to court documents, his DNA was found on the sheath of a Cabal knife found beneath Mogen’s body, and his cell phone signal placed him near the crime scene.

Koberger is charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony theft. A judge entered a not guilty plea to the charges at Koberger’s arraignment last year.

The latest development in the case is the alibi presented by Koberger’s defense team.

“In the early morning hours of November 13, 2022, Mr. Koberger was taking one of his many drives to hike, jog, and view the moon and stars,” his lawyers wrote. “He drove through areas south of Pullman, Washington, west of Moscow, Idaho, including Wawawai Park.”
